HYPER EX is a platform that provides users with an immersive online experience.
The need for this product was obvious, as nearly 90% of offline events in China were cancelled, postponed or moved online due to the pandemic situation in 2022. My other project, X ACADEMY, was also inevitably impacted in its summer programs. Since we couldn't hold them offline, we explored the possibility of hosting the summer programs on online platforms. However, traditional conferencing and video tools simply could not meet our requirements for deep interaction and immersive experiences. The metaverse conferencing platforms on the market were also very rough and imperfect. So we had the idea to create our own tool.
The biggest difference between HYPER EX and other similar products is that it does not use existing game engines like Unity or Unreal to make a metaverse product from templates. We built it from the ground up as a product deeply optimized for the web, giving it inherent advantages in performance, graphics, and development flexibility. This also allows it to iterate quickly and continuously upgrade.
Although the concept of the metaverse is still relatively vague and conceptual - which is very normal, as all emerging technologies go through such a stage at birth - in making this product, we still hope to create something that truly meets people's fantasies about the metaverse. It should have an extremely immersive experience, be open source and accessible, allow participation anytime and anywhere without barriers, and be fun and interesting. To be honest, there is currently no metaverse product, domestic or foreign, that meets these requirements. Most metaverse platforms are quite boring, and we are not willing to make yet another such product.
HYPER EX has built a barrier-free, user-created and user-owned virtual universe of unlimited scale. Users can seamlessly walk from one space to another, with each space having completely different themes and gameplay. And based on HYPER EX's unique spatial video calling, identity, and points system, these digital individuals and spaces are brewing an infinitely possible metaverse model.
Metaverse should be accessible to everyone, creatable by everyone, and owned by everyone, without limitations from devices or hardware.
