I've been trying to "create things" for a long time. Although the things I've made are diverse and quirky, ranging from computer rendering, photography, websites, apps, hardware devices, music, articles, AI, to games... they all essentially boil down to one thing -- pursuing "beauty" through creation.
"When you find beauty through creation, your mind and soul experience immense pleasure, even ecstasy. Like that moment years ago when a single frame of artwork was produced after 30 hours of continuous computer rendering, or when you finally come up with an infinitely elegant algorithm logic after racking your brain, or when you swipe through the silky-smooth UI on your phone that you wrote line by line, looking at every pixel with just the right shadow, you feel that the hundreds or thousands of hours of work beforehand were meaningful."
I believe the joy of creation is equal for all things, even for the Creator.

A phrase that particularly resonated with me when I was 15 was "technology gives people the power of gods". At that time, I had just gone to Germany to study and began to learn mechanical engineering and electrical engineering more deeply. Studying EE and CS alone in a cold, quiet dorm room, drinking, coding, and doing 3D design, I felt a great sense of pleasure and a strange sense of power in the creative process. As I mastered technology, I felt the augmentation of my individual abilities and experienced this "power of gods".
Peter Thiel once said that technological progress is the best way to reduce the world's suffering. Since the 1970s, technological progress has stagnated, leading to a bad political atmosphere and the pessimism of modern Westerners. Today's epidemics, global economic collapse, climate change disasters, cyber attacks, and de-globalization have shrunk people's hopes to the point of self-disappearance.
Technological progress may be an exact way to solve the various problems in today's world. Entrepreneurs, inventors, and adventurers bring infinite hope while providing tools to revolutionize productivity and efficiency for mankind.
At that time, concepts like e/acc did not exist, but I always wanted to convey this "future optimism". Fortunately, we have achieved this at TechX, influencing thousands of X alumni around the world over the past 9 years.
I sincerely believe and hope that the future of humanity will be better, not worse. Even though in the short term, in recent years, we have seen many things that disappoint everyone and partial social regression trends. But in the long run, we believe that humans will eventually become a cross-planetary species.
I believe that in the not-too-distant future, you and I can wake up from our sleep amidst a sea of stars, look out the porthole at the Earth, and say that today will be a better day than yesterday. With this belief, we can use the power of technology, art, and humanities to make this day come faster. You and I are a whole, not independent.
